PIX4Dfields 2.11: access hidden crop insights

PIX4Dfields 2.11 introduces false color composite views, new tractor & spray drone exports, and more!

False color composite views: see beyond the visible

This feature improves how you interpret RGB and multispectral data, transforming invisible spectral information into clear, actionable visual maps. In precision agriculture, the most critical data—like vegetation vitality and plant stress—often resides in spectral bands, such as Near-Infrared (NIR), that are not captured by standard RGB cameras. Our new tool utilizes this spectral data to quickly visualize and interpret information with striking clarity. By assigning invisible spectral bands to visible colors (Red, Green, Blue), these composites instantly highlight:

  • Vegetation health and vigor: instantly distinguish healthy, high-vigor areas from those under stress.
  • Soil properties.
  • Water bodies.
  • Early stress indicators that would be impossible to spot in natural color imagery.

Excess Green Composite Index on RGB imagery highlighting all green vegetation (orange color), separating from soil and man-made surfaces (blue color). Recommended for plant segmentation and weed detection.

This feature is designed for rapid diagnostics, enabling you to make faster, more precise treatment decisions than ever before, even without a multispectral drone.
